FSM partner Nick Hillyard obtained a favorable verdict in Sedgwick County, Kansas, for his client on April 6, 2017.  The case arose out of a 2015 motor vehicle accident in Wichita, Kansas, that occurred when the defendant client turned in front of plaintiff because the sun was in his eyes.  The jury was convinced to allocate some comparative fault for the accident to plaintiff and that the nature and extent of plaintiff’s injuries and damages were not to the degree claimed.  Therefore, the jury awarded plaintiff damages in the amount $15,000, less than her last demand before trial.
