Firm partners John Schultz and Matthew Clifford secured the top defense verdict in Missouri, according to Missouri Lawyers Weekly. The case resulting in the defense verdict was an equitable garnishment and bad faith action.  Plaintiffs, members of the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, attempted to collect a judgment in the amount $34,595,301 against United Fire & Casualty Company.  The Circuit Court of St. Louis City found there was no coverage under the United Fire policy and plaintiffs were not entitled to any recovery under said policy.

Schultz and Clifford were recognized during the Missouri Lawyers Weekly Awards ceremony on January 26th at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.
