Laura “Laurie” King is Of Counsel in the Springfield, Missouri office, with twelve years of trial experience. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Ms. King graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Seattle University and then moved to Arkansas for law school. Ms. King received her Juris Doctorate from University of Arkansas School of Law-Fayetteville, where she was the clerk of the Garland Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. While in law school, she interned for the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office in Springfield and earned the Robert F. Fussell Pro Bono Award.

Prior to joining Franke Schultz and Mullen, P.C., Ms. King was the District Defender for the Missouri 44^th Judicial Circuit with Missouri State Public Defender’s Office, where she gained experience and knowledge working in the Missouri court system, and with the litigation process, as well as invaluable trial experience.

She is licensed to practice law in Missouri and is a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association.
Outside of the legal profession, Ms. King enjoys time with her husband, two children and two dogs.
