Austin attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude.  During law school, Austin received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Securities Regulation and Real Estate Transactions.  Upon graduation, Austin was honored with the Sanford B. Ladd Award for his academic performance.
While earning his Juris Doctor, Austin served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Ortrie D. Smith in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri.  Austin additionally served as a research assistant and chief editor to Professor Del Wright Jr., where he primarily focused on patenting blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, along with cryptocurrency regulation and taxation under various federal laws.
With a life-long passion for real estate and a desire to give back to the community, Austin began working for Neighborhood Legal Support of Kansas City, a 501(c)(3) organization designed at addressing blighted neighborhoods in Kansas City’s Historic Northeast.  During this time, Austin also served as a legal extern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri in the Fraud and Corruption Unit.
Prior to law school, Austin attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Latin American Studies.  Austin was a member of the men’s football team at Miami.
