St. Louis County judge dismisses claim of rape of autistic child in care center

The mother of an 8 year old boy diagnosed with asperger's syndrome who was residing in a care center designed for the treatment of autistic children sued the center alleging it was responsible for not supervising a 14 year old resident who allegedly forced the 8 year old to engage in a sexual incident in a bathroom that the 2 resident's shared. After over 18 months of discovery, the Circuit Judge sustained a motion to dismiss the claims presented against the care center. Jackie Cook and John Schultz defended the care center in the case.
