Jessica Walker practices in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, insurance coverage, and general civil litigation. She has significant experience in government entity defense and automobile litigation. Ms. Walker practiced insurance defense law in Sacramento, California, for four years prior to joining Franke, Schultz & Mullen. While in practice in California, Ms. Walker obtained favorable results in motion and appellate practice defending government entities. Ms. Walker also handled numerous personal injury matters. Ms. Walker relocated to the Kansas City area and continues her career at Franke, Schultz & Mullen. Ms. Walker received her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law and graduated in the top 3% of her class. During law school, she received the Witkin Award in Legal Writing and Research I and II, Civil Procedure II, Torts I and II, and Civil Litigation: Pre-Trial Phase. She also received the CALI Award in Contracts I and Solving Legal Problems and was a member of law review. Ms. Walker received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Saint Mary's College of California, where she graduated magna cum laude. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Walker served as a judicial extern to the Honorable David F. Levi, then Chief Judge, of the United States District Court of Appeals, Eastern District of California.
